Meet the Animals of MeadowView Ranch

At MeadowView Ranch, our animals are more than just part of the farm—they’re family. Each one has a unique personality, a special role, and a story to tell. From loyal guardians to playful mischief-makers, they bring life and love to the ranch every day.

Our Horses

Red – The Gentle Giant

Standing at 17hh, Red is a massive yet gentle teddy bear and Meagan’s main riding horse. More than just a mount, he serves as a therapy horse, offering comfort and affection with his signature nose kisses.

A light-colored horse with a black mane stands near a wooden fence, holding a strand of hay in its mouth in a barn.

Beau – The Thoughtful Traveler

Beau is a 10-year-old grey gelding who loves to take in the world around him. Well-mannered under saddle, he has all the buttons but only uses them when asked, making him an easy and enjoyable ride. Lower in the pecking order, he’s adjusting to life at MeadowView, where we hope he feels just as loved as he did in his previous home. With more grazing access and a smaller herd, we’re excited to see him fill out and settle into his new place in the family.

Boo – The Hat Thief

Boo is a playful young Quarter Horse with a mischievous streak. As our 5-year-old’s trusty steed, he’s patient and kind, especially during roping practice. Just keep an eye on your hat—Boo loves to steal them!

Our Dogs

Silas – The Guardian

Silas, our 3-year-old Akbash, is the ranch's dedicated protector. As a Livestock Guardian Dog, he keeps our sheep and chickens safe from predators while keeping a close watch on the farm. When off-duty, he enjoys playing with Honey the cow and tattling on her fence-breaking adventures. Despite his tough exterior, he’s a cuddle bug at heart—especially if he gets to snuggle inside with Meagan

Teikka – The Social Butterfly

Teikka, our energetic Rottweiler cross, has a special condition—one of her kidneys attaches in the wrong spot, causing some leakage. But that doesn’t slow her down! She’s a happy barn dog who greets everyone with a wagging tail, always eager for attention and affection.

Romeo – The Handsome Rescue

Romeo, our sleek black Labrador, was saved from the kill cages of Aruba. Though stunning, he’s a shy soul who prefers the safety of his fenced area near the house. While he may not seek attention, he appreciates those who respect his space.

Our Sheep

Courage – The Firstborn Adventurer

Courage was the first lamb born on the ranch after Meagan and Joel got married. Found abandoned in the field, he was bottle-fed and raised with love. Now, he follows us everywhere, comes when called, and even tries to sneak inside the house!

Gemma – The Little Mama

Gemma is both a pet and a future breeding ewe, chosen for her striking beauty and gentle personality. She’s Courage’s best friend and has a natural instinct to "mom" the younger lambs, getting friendlier every day.

Honey – The Fence-Busting Queen

Honey, our Jersey-Angus cross milk cow, has a personality as big as her appetite. Friendly yet pushy, she sees fences as mere suggestions and is always on the hunt for extra snacks. A scratch under her chin will earn you the cutest cow face ever!
