Kids & Youth Programs

Pro-D Day Camp

Spend your day off school at the ranch! Horse time, games, and outdoor activities make this the perfect one-day adventure.

Note: Optional transportation from Williams Lake: $10/day

Canadian Pony Club

A fun, hands-on program for young riders.

Learn riding skills, horse care, and teamwork in a supportive environment. It builds confidence, friendships, and a strong foundation in horsemanship.

Through the City of Williams Lake (hosted at Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex or MeadowView Reins, Big Lake, BC):

  • Jr. Pony Club (ages 5–8): Tuesdays, 4–5pm & Saturdays, 9-10am

  • Pony Club (ages 8–12): Tuesdays, 5-6:30pm & Saturdays, 10-11am

    Price: $150.00

At MeadowView Ranch in Big Lake:

  • Jr. Pony Club (ages 5–8): Thursdays, 4–5pm

  • Pony Club (ages 8–12): Thursdays, 5–6pm

    Price: $150.00/ month

Horsemanship Lessons

Horsemanship lessons teach riders how to understand, communicate with, and care for horses both on the ground and in the saddle. These lessons foster confidence, respect, and a safe partnership between horse and rider.

Price: $40.00 per lesson or 4 lessons for $150.00

Note: Williams Lake sessions only: $10.00 drop-in fee (paid directly to the arena; does not apply at Big Lake)

In Front of the Herd – Teen Leadership

One of our Equine Assisted Learning programs centered on leadership for teens inspired by the natural dynamics of a horse herd.

Trail Riding Adventures

This fall, saddle up for a memorable adventure at MeadowView Reins.

We offer both full-day and half-day trail rides, perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Cariboo on horseback.

Saddle Up: A Full-Day Backcountry Ride
Venture off the beaten path into the heart of the backcountry with a seasoned guide. Spend a full day in the saddle surrounded by stunning views, enjoy a rustic trail lunch, and soak up the rhythm of ranch life and wide-open spaces.

Trail Trekkers: A Family Ride Adventure
An ideal outing for all ages and riding abilities! Explore gentle forest paths and open meadows on horseback while learning basic horsemanship. This relaxed, guided ride is a fun and memorable way for families to bond in nature—one hoofbeat at a time.

Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL)

Grow with the herd this fall — transformative Equine-Assisted Learning programs for youth and adults in partnership with the City of Williams Lake.

Trail of the Home  (ages 15+) The intent of the Trail of the Home program is simple.

To enable families to reconnect by understanding what a family is and to enhance the family dynamics from chaos to completeness.The intent of the Trail of the Home program is simple. To enable families to reconnect by understanding what a family is and to enhance the family dynamics from chaos to completeness.  The Coach is not a therapist or family counselor, but one who walks along side the family in their journey of rebuilding and reconciliation.  The program can also be an enormous help to any family that wishes to enhance their togetherness. Couples are welcome!

Price: $600  (7 sessions)

Trail of the Heart (ages 15+) Six-week program for personal growth & self-discovery.

Trail of the Heart is a six-week equine-assisted program for adults seeking meaningful change and personal growth. Each 90-minute session explores a themed “camp” on your life’s journey, with guided discussions, reflective booklets, and time with horses to support insight and healing. The program encourages self-discovery, goal setting, and forward movement—many participants describe the experience as life-changing. No horse experience is needed—just a willingness to explore your path.
